Exterior Party lighting | Major

Today I have been focusing on getting the lighting correct on the shot of the outside of the party room, as this corridor needs to look quite foreboding and threatening as the narrative is discussing how Ellie is feeling concerned and confused by the situation she is in. I am quite happy about how the scene looks overall, however the lights in the ceiling are casting strange orbs around the light on the ceiling. This is something I will need to rectify in the final renders.

    Are yourrenders 4:3 aspect ratio instead of 16:9 for a reason Nelly? Eg, a homage to Captain Pugwash?

      I was trialling it to see, but I am aware that the final renders will need to be 16:9 for most outputs.

I decided that the first thing I wanted to do in this project was to go through the anthology, and identify the key ideas/terms that are linked to each individual city. I think that this will really assist me in creating an accurate and highly believable set of thumbnail concepts for the cities. The Five Act Structure of the Greatest Showman - Film Review

Three and five act structures are key devices used in effective storytelling. They give narratives and stories a pleasing base structure upon which the weave the elements to create a unique viewpoint. The Greatest Showman has a clear five act structure used beneath all the songs and showy costumes to make it stand up as a narrative. Act 1 - Childhood We see the challenges that Barnum went through as a child. It shows him as a poor tailor’s son struggling to make ends meet. It shows him meeting Charity for the first time. It also shows his father getting ill and eventually passing away, and how he had to beg on the streets for food.
